Babashahab Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Society formed and it was established for dedication of its voluntary services for the cause of the development of downtrodden society and simultaneously for helping the poor mass of the greater society. Since the inception of this organization, it has rendered services and undertaken many developmental works in a diversified manner for rural development and among its dedicated notable works in the society, some are mentioned hereunder for the benefit of the masses of the Society are mentioned here under:-
The organization has provided loan for an amount of Rs. 1 .00 (One) Lacks to the 20 (Twenty) No’s of individual beneficiaries belonging to the downtrodden community in collaboration with “RGVN” in the year 2002, disbursed the same to the beneficiaries.
The organization has also provided loan for an amount of Rs. 2 .00 (Two Lacks) to the 10 (Ten) No’s of SHG(s) for the benefit of the SHG members. The organization taken the said amount from “NEDFI” – Guwahati, in the year 2004, disbursed the same to the SHG beneficiaries.
The organization also provided loan for an amount of Rs. 4 .00 (Four Lacks) to the 31 (Thirty One) No’s of SHG(s) for the benefit of the SHG members. The organization taken the said amount from “APEX BANK” LTD. – H.O. Guwahati, in the year 2006, disbursed the same to the SHG beneficiaries. The organization successfully implemented the same scheme.
In the year 2004, “Sangeeth Natok Academy” – New Delhi, has extended grant for Rs – 15000/- (Fifteen Thousand Only) to the organization for purchase of musical instruments for cultural development. The fund is successfully utilized for the purpose.
NABARD – regional office Guwahati, sanctioned an amount of RS – 1, 34000/- (One Lacks Thirty Four Thousands Only) and provided to this organization for SHG formation and bank linkage in Hailakandi District of Assam. The organization utilized an amount of Rs – 13,470/- (Thirteen Thousands Four Hundred seventy) for the purpose for the benefit of the rural mass people in the year 2007.
CAPART, regional office Guwahati, sanctioned an amount of Rs – 280,885(Two Lacks Eighty Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty Five only) and provided the amount to this organization for implementation of income generating project –Duck cum Fishery’ for SHGs. The Society received an Amount of Rs. 150000.00 (One Lakhs Fifty Thousand) from the scheme and distributed the said amount to 05 (Five) No’s SHGs of the rural areas in the year 2008.
The organization published a book in Bengali language entitled “SHG hand Book”. The fund for publication of the said book was extended by NABARD, APEX BANK LTD. & DRDA Hailakandi for amount of Rs.34000/-(Thirty Four Thousand) in the year 2006.
The organization selected 168 Nos. of beneficiary under Credit Cum Subsidy Scheme (Rural Housing) and out of which 07 Nos. of beneficiaries were provided benefit under the scheme. Rs- 2, 80,000 / paid to the 07 Nos. of beneficiaries for construction of Rural Housing. The fund under this scheme given by the DRDA Hailakandi and the APEX Bank LTD. Head Quarter Guwahati in the year 2009.
